EPA shark cull ruling prompts crowing from creepy Greens

Looks like bong-suckling, Gaia-worshipping crazies over here in the wild west have finally gotten their way when it comes to Colin Barnett's shark mitigation strategy. The EPA, which is clearly afflicted with more than its fair share of wild-eyed shrub humpers, has rejected the State Government's proposal to continue the so-called cull for the next three years.

EPA Chairman Dr Vogel said the decision "erred on the side of the environment". I'd say "erred" is the operative word. Well, if he wants to do some more erring in future, I suggest he should err on the side of humanity for once -- for balance if nothing else.

Cynical opportunist Mark McGowan has leapt in to bitch-slap Barnett in the wake of the ruling. He may well rue the day he did this if he ever becomes Premier and finds himself in a similar position to Barnett.

Not sure what happens next, but looks like it might just be kaput for The West Australian Government's reasonable, targeted and politically responsible approach to a serious problem -- imperfect though it clearly was.

All I can say is that if no noahs are terminated with extreme prejudice in the ensuing summer or next and one of them decides to gobble another human, let it be on the heads of the human hating shark-huggers. And if you think that accusation of misanthropy is a tad OTT then consider this revealing quote from creepy Greens MP Lynn MacLaren:

"Over three-and-half months last summer, 172 sharks, all of which are supposed to be protected in WA, were captured, and most of them we know subsequently died a slow death that achieved nothing to increase human safety.

"We mourn them but for now, today is a cause for a big celebration, for so much hard work by many good people."

This loopy woman is openly grieving over a bunch of bloody fish! Can you believe it? What about the people their toothy brethren killed? Any sorrow for them? Nope. As always, crickets.

Well, I'm glad she's revealed her sickening priorities in such a vivid way. The more humans who realize what she and her fellow travellers actually feel about the human race the better.

Sky the dog eaten by sharks. Will animal rights activists see sense now?

Having watched the shark wars unfolding here in Perth, I've been able to see the astonishing misanthropy of greenies close up. These sinister communards purport to care about the human race, but really don't give a tinker's about it. They just care about themselves and their sneering fellow travellers, and would be quite happy for the rest of us to die horribly so that they can inherit the Earth, along with their beloved cockroaches, salamanders and voles.

One of these animal rights creeps was banging on at a demo at Cottesloe a coupla months back. Declaiming against eeevil "Emperor" Barnett's proposed shark mitigation strategy she really let the marsupial cat out of the bag when she said that she didn't care whether his proposed cull would work (ie save human lives) or not. See, she was only concerned with whether it was "just". (You'll hear her say it in this video.) And of course killing sharks was unjust. In other words, she considered human life less valuable than that of big fat toothy fish.

That's why I took note when I read about this sad case of a beloved dog being devoured by noahs up north:

A devastated skipper says his faithful dog Sky was probably trying to protect him when it was taken by a shark off Point Sampson, 1260km north of Perth.

Franz Van Derpoll said he was out catching a fish for dinner with Sky when he saw two sharks circling where he was spear fishing, 6km off Johns Creek Harbour.

"She's probably decided to jump over the side to protect me and when I came up from my second dive there was lots of blood in the water and no dog," he said.

Knowing how deeply shark huggers care about the welfare of non-human persons (animals), I thought such an event might make them start to understand why most Homo sapiens are a tad unsettled at the thought of being guzzled alive during their next dip in the ocean and would like to do some things to reduce the risk of it happening. After all, shark-huggers are indifferent to human suffering, but the suffering of a much loved pet -- sorry, animal companion -- well, their big open nature loving hearts would be able to feel that now wouldn't they?

But on second thoughts I think these hopes were in vain. I'm sure they'd manage to take the sharks' side after some ideological contortions. The dog was enslaved by men -- and fishermen at that. And it was the men who took it onto the shark's domain. So killing Sky was actually an act of of cruel kindness -- a simultaneous act of territorial defence and canine emancipation.

Sharks. Such wise creatures. They can really teach us something, eh?

Tree huggers, shark huggers and other deep green howler monkeys

When Bolta posted a request on his blog for some footage of deep green howler monkeys indulging in their stupid Gaia worship I immediately thought of a segment from one of Robert Hughes's docos. It showed a bunch of tragic tree huggers sooking up over some sequoias. I was gonna do a quick search for it but I didn't have time.

Interestingly someone else had been thinking along the same lines because when I looked at his blog today I saw that he'd actually included this very footage. It's one of the most vivid illustrations of deep green craziness you could find.

Now I know that in political combat members of both sides often call their opponents nuts. And this is usually unfair. But I don't think it is in this case. Watch that footage (embedded below) and tell me that these people aren't howling at the moon insane.

And I think their mental illness is even sadder than most other forms. These people didn't get this way as a result of some congenital defect, or because of long term psychological abuse or sudden trauma. It's solely the result of indoctrination. It's the kind of collective insanity that grips people in North Korea and other commie shit-holes.

Sure, this tribe of tree huggers wasn't led by people as powerful or ruthless as Kim Il Sung and their ilk. But the sickness is still similar. These poor bastards are totally alienated from their fellow humans. They live in a bubble of infantile misanthropy and see civilization itself as something inherently evil.

Now, on the level that you see in the clip it's pathetic and ultimately harmless. They may want to take over the world and give it back to the plants. But it's clear their grand plans are never gonna amount to a hill of, er, lentils. But just imagine if they did succeed in seizing the commanding heights in government. What would they do?

And here's a local, contemporary example of the same phenomenon: A prominent player in the West Oz shark wars is a child-brained shark hugger called Jeff Hansen. I saw him at the Cottesloe shark demo not so long ago. And he keeps popping up in print and on the wireless. This malignant misanthrope from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society keeps repeating variations on the line that "an ocean without sharks is a world without people". He believes that killing sharks is a crime against nature. And that any crime against nature is a "direct crime against humanity". Honest, he actually uses those words. Watch this vid and you'll see for yourself! (It occurs just after 2 min mark.)

Talk about widening the bloody goalposts! Most of us would say that an event like the Holocaust constitutes a crime against humanity. He thinks a dead fish does.

Needless to say, he doesn't actually give a tinker's about the human race (well, at least not those members of it who don't subscribe to his creepy views). But he knows that most people do. So he's turning everything upside down, arguing that those who are for the so-called shark cull are the real misanthropes.

It's subversive as all get out. You gotta hand it to him for tactical nous if nothing else ...

Now think to yourself, what would this guy and his fellow band o' pinko pirates do if they had real power. The possibilities are truly disturbing.

I just hope these Carcharadon carers take a leaf out of the Seppo tree huggers' book and get amongst the beings they are so bravely trying to save and apologize to them up close and, er, political. That would make a helluva memorable YouTube clip, eh! It'd be even funnier than this one.

Rise in shark attacks provokes talk of marine vigilantism

So interesting what's happening "down south" in the wake of these shark attacks ... There's a real feeling amongst locals that the WA Government has dragged its heels on this issue and that enough is enough. Angry watermen are saying it's time to take matters into their own hands.

Not quite sure what that entails. But I'm having visions of blokes on jet skis taking turns to patrol the line-up at Margs armed with sturdy harpoons. And maybe more personal protection is a possibility? I tell you, if anyone can design a wetsuit that includes a holster for a waterproof Luger they could be rolling in dough before too long.

Amazing that things have reached this level. Remember that most surfers are greenies at heart. You'll often hear them wax mystical about the bond they feel with Mother Nature when speeding through a smokin' barrel! And with the best breaks in this state hundreds of miles from the big smoke, West Aussie surfers tend to be greener than most. So, if they are considering taking an aggressively pro-active approach against their fellow sea creatures, well, they must be really pissed off.

It's a little like what's happening politically in European nations such as the Netherlands and Sweden. These havens of liberal tolerance are waking up to the fact that multi-culti has its limits. Having let in a toxic strain of militant Islamism, they are turning hard to the right.

Of course the parasitic Left, so attached to its poisonous policies, is not going to go without a fight. So the battle continues to rage on many fronts.

Similarly, here in the wild west the, er, shark-huggers are still demanding that we tolerate the intolerable. And things are finally drawing to a head. Won't be long before the first white pointer is pre-emptively terminated (with extreme prejudice) by a surfer. If he suffers a hefty fine or worse for his actions, all hell will break lose, I reckon!

Alexia Wellbelove of HSI blames shark attacks on sheep trade

Amazing how the deep green mindset will seek to blame eeevil humanity for all that's bad and wrong in the world. Take the fantastically named Alexia Wellbelove of Humane Society International, who believes that the recent spate of shark attacks in West Australian waters may well have been due to the live sheep trade:

ALEXIA WELLBELOVE: It seems to us that the connection in Western Australia to the live export vessels that carry sheep and the increased rate of shark attacks was a sort of uncanny coincidence really.

So we started looking into this further and we found that in many cases within a few days of live export vessels docking into Fremantle or leaving Fremantle there was a shark attack.

See, her theory is that when dead sheep are thrown overboard, the really big noahs come closer to the shore, increasing the probability they'll attack surfers and swimmers.

She's drawing a very long bow to start with. But it's even longer given that she cites (and therefore presumably possesses) no hard evidence that sheep carcasses have been thrown overboard near the coast in recent weeks.

Seems like a pretty wacky, unscientific theory to me. I'll bet she's a warmist, too. (Hmm. Maybe she's been using computer modelling to support her thesis?)

That ol' chestnut "correlation does not necessarily imply causation" should be remembered here. And this trade has been going on for decades, while the rate of shark attacks has only skyrocketed in recent years.

In any case, there are already countless animals in the water that sharks feed on. They're called fish. So how can the presence of some deceased herbivores make any difference to their hunger levels?

Then there's the issue of their culinary tastes ... It seems Ms Wellbelove believes that the newly peckish great whites are getting a taste for mammalian meat. Do people taste like sheep, I wonder? Sadly, Jeff Dahmer is dead, so we'll never know for sure.

Hell, you may as well link these shark attacks to the drownings of all those asylum seekers recently. But of course your typical deep green lefty would never do that. They want to stop the live sheep trade with the same intensity that they want to preserve the trade in live humans.

Lovely people, aren't they? More concerned about the rights of sharks -- both literal and metaphorical -- then they are about the rights of humans.

Not exactly humane after all ...
